Mariana joined Noetinger & Armando in 1998 and leads the Patent Department.
She holds a degree in Biochemistry from the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry, University of Buenos Aires, and is a Registered Industrial Property Agent.
Before joining Noetinger & Armando, she worked as a researcher and lecturer in the Oncological Immunology section at the Mariano Castex Institute of Hematological Research, National Academy of Medicine, and led the Molecular Biology and Cellular & Humoral Immunology teams at Buenos Aires LAB.
Mariana and her team advise domestic and international clients on patent searches, patentability analyses, drafting strategies, filing, and prosecution of patent applications, utility models, and industrial designs. She also provides technical support to the litigation team in patent infringement and nullity cases in Argentina and other Latin American jurisdictions.
From 2019 to 2021, she served as Chair of the Latin America IP Practice Committee of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) and remains active in several of its committees. She is also a member of the Patent Committee of the Argentine Association of Intellectual Property Agents (AAAPI) and the Biotechnology Committee (CT5) of the International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys (FICPI). Additionally, she has been a speaker and panelist at numerous academic and professional seminars and workshops.
