Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Noetinger & Armando

Founded in 1994 as a boutique law firm specializing in Intellectual Property, Noetinger & Armando has grown into a leading firm in the field of Industrial and Intellectual Property across Latin America, with a standout practice in Corporate Law, Consumer Law, and Litigation.

On April 15, 1994, young attorneys Fernando Noetinger and Miguel Armando—who were already building successful careers in the field—officially established Noetinger & Armando (N&A), their own boutique firm focused on IP. The initial team consisted of the two of them and one assistant, driven by their previous experience, a desire to grow, and the immediate support of many loyal clients.

Over the years, the firm expanded steadily, gaining new clients and attracting talented professionals. A proactive player in the international IP arena, Noetinger & Armando consolidated its IP practice throughout Latin America, and broadened its scope to other legal areas, including Litigation, Dispute Resolution, and Corporate Law.

“Our Litigation practice emerged more than 20 years ago at the special request of a client. At that time, it was just two of us working closely with them. Shortly thereafter, responding to another client’s needs, we expanded again and launched the Corporate Law practice—with the same two lawyers. The rest is history.”

In this way, N&A developed a recognized Litigation and Corporate Law department, now led by Miguel Armando and Juan Pringles, with over 10 professionals. This growing team has built a strong reputation for helping clients across the country protect their interests and develop effective business solutions.

“What we have achieved has gone far beyond our original expectations. We started out in a small three-room office—rented from a relative of Fernando for the initial push. We furnished it with whatever we brought from home! At that time, there were so few of us we literally had to be in two places at once.”

Since then, the firm has not stopped growing—in team size, in practice areas, in the technology we continue to incorporate, in learning and specialization. This growth is the result of the entire team’s efforts, who are always willing to go the extra mile.” — Miguel Armando

Of course, the journey has also included challenges, internal and external crises, trials and errors, ups and downs. The firm grew and solidified thanks to the founders’ professionalism, a genuine openness to learning and constant improvement, transparency, strong ethical values, and a deep sense of empathy in day-to-day interactions. This approach, embedded in N&A’s shared identity, has been key to the firm’s development and success over the past 30 years.

“I admire the entrepreneurial spirit of the founding partners, who drove N&A’s growth through a business-oriented and creative perspective. We’ve built our team by prioritizing high standards—professionally and personally—supporting our people’s development and growing in alignment with our values. I believe this mindset has kept us competitive and given us the tools and motivation to meet new challenges, adapt to technology, and evolve with market trends.” — Mariana Bullrich

Over time, four new partners joined the firm. Today, N&A is led by Fernando Noetinger, Mariana Bullrich, Matías Noetinger, and Pablo Armando, who lead the Intellectual Property, Trademarks & Patents team; and by Miguel Armando and Juan E. Pringles, who head the Litigation and Corporate Law departments.

In recent years, the firm has strengthened its comprehensive professional development, adding new areas such as communications and marketing, human resources, professional training, and technology applied to legal services. This expansion aims to support both the personal and professional growth of the team and the firm’s overall development.

“All of this pushes us to continue evolving as a firm and as a team, to stay proactive, current, and responsive to innovation, market shifts, and their legal implications—while remaining committed to our clients and society. One of today’s greatest challenges for lawyers is embracing our role as strategic advisors and business partners, helping companies grow while also promoting more responsible and sustainable practices with positive impact. We must see ourselves as agents of change, actively leading the transition of our industry toward a sustainable business model, while continuing to adapt our services to meet the changing demands of modern businesses.” — Juan Pringles
